BAZAR - HYPERMARKET
The concept behind Bazar was to establish the first Bangladeshi centric Hyper-market in Britain. Sited in East London where 30% of the population are from the Indian sub-continent, this 7,800 m² Hyper-market would be local to over 250,000 potential customers.
We wanted Bazar to be a sophisticated celebration of cultural identity, using the Hyper market as a market place. Using areas of open and generously displayed produce as points of differentiation from other supermarkets. Orientation and departmental definition are made by using large impact.
“I can easily imagine Bazar becoming ‘Sainsbury’s’ for the Bangladeshi community across the U.K.”
